Cornwall Powerchair Football Club

Role Profile – Coach

Cornwall Powerchair Football Club play as Celtic Storm.

Training is usually held from 1 – 3pm on Sundays, twice a month at Newquay Sports Centre.  Powerchair football is played on a pitch the size of a basketball court using a size 9 ball with 4 players on each side.  All players have a physical disability preventing them from playing other forms of football.  The club has a range of equipment including powerchairs and established players are encouraged to apply for funding for their own specialist playing chair.

Although our players are all highly competitive and love to win, priority is that we provide a safe, supportive training environment where players are encouraged to improve their skills regardless of ability and ultimately enjoy their experience.

A powerchair football coach has to be imaginative, dynamic, enthusiastic and willing to get stuck in.
